"The BASICS ILLUSTRATION series explores key areas of illustration through a series of case studies juxtaposed with key creative 'basics'. Contemporary work is supported by concise descriptions, enabling the reader to fully understand the work being discussed." - as taken from the back cover
This book is more of a 'how it is' rather than a 'how to do' as it attempts to give an overview of all things related to print and multimedia illustrations. It comes across as more of a reference book for those of the uninitiated 'wannabe' illustrator whom wishes to try their hand at any and all. I would go so far as to say it lacks the ability to inspire even the budding artist with its banal generalities and superfluous enlightenments.
Worth a look in the waiting room but not one to take home.
